Suya or tsire is a spicy meat skewer which is a popular food item in West Africa. It is generally made with skewered beef, ram, or chicken. Innards such as kidney, liver and tripe are also used.
Who invented suya? it is originated from nomadic people of northern Nigeria. It later became quite popular in the western region of Africa. In Nigeria, Suya is served as street food prepared mainly by the Hausa-Fulani people.
How to cheat suya sellers and get plenty of it with little cash? I normally use the below method and it works.
For instance, if you want to purchase 1000 naira worth of suya, dont go for it straight up. Tell the hausa man to sell you 500 naira worth of suya in two places. Or 300 naira worth in three places and that would be 900 naira only.
When you get home, you can join all together and see wonders. You go chop suya tire. This method has being working for me for the past 3 years, as a matter of fact, I just used it now.
